Piedmont Convenience Center Upgrades

Background

Greenville County owns and operates the Piedmont solid waste convenience center located at 225 Owens Road, Piedmont 29673. The project aims to install concrete pads for two new waste compactor units and two charge boxes. This initiative is part of the County's efforts to enhance waste management services.

Work Details

The project includes the following tasks: - Installation of concrete pads for two waste compactor units and two charge boxes - Asphalt cutting and removal - Trenching for electrical and sewer piping - Installation of electrical conduit and conductors The contractor will also need to verify the conditions of the existing electrical panel on site. The charge boxes and compactors will be provided by the County and installed separately. Site upgrades will require removal of existing pavement, trenching for conduit, and trenching for sewer lines.

Period of Performance

The contract is expected to commence upon issuance of a Notice to Proceed on July 17, 2026. The timeline includes proposal submission by June 15, 2026, review from June 15 to June 30, 2026, and a tentative award date on June 30, 2026.

The work will be performed at the Piedmont Convenience Center located at 225 Owens Road, Piedmont, SC 29673.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must be licensed contractors in South Carolina with appropriate certifications including SC Licensed Electrician and General Contractor. A Bid Bond of 5% of the bid price is required upon submission. Contractors must comply with all local, state, and federal laws including those related to safety regulations.
