Background The Government requires one full-time, on-site Digital Fires Systems Integration Engineer (DFSE) to provide advanced technical expertise and integration support for the III Armored Corps (IIIAC) Fire Support Element (FSE) located at Fort Hood, TX. This contract aims to maintain the operational readiness of the digital fires architecture that enables the sensor-to-shooter kill chain. The DFSE will play a critical role in integrating, configuring, troubleshooting, and evaluating complex digital fire support systems, tactical communications networks, sensors, and emerging mission command technologies. The contract also includes a surge capability to provide additional qualified DFSE personnel for simultaneous training, exercises, or experimentation events at multiple locations. Work Details The contractor shall provide one DFSE with advanced technical expertise in integrating digital fire support systems with tactical communications networks. Key responsibilities include: - Daily on-site technical integration support to the III Armored Corps Fire Support Element. - Configuration, integration, troubleshooting, and operational employment of digital fire support systems and tactical communications networks. - Responding to technical support requests within two hours during normal duty hours and resolving at least 90% of issues within 24 hours. - Maintaining operational readiness of assigned systems and performing preventative maintenance. - Supporting training events, operational exercises, experimentation activities, and modernization demonstrations. - Demonstrating hands-on experience with Army modernization initiatives supporting Next Generation Command and Control (NGC2). - Providing technical support across multiple geographically separated locations as required. Period of Performance The period of performance is from June 15, 2026 to June 14, 2027, including a one-month phase-in period followed by an eleven-month base period and four optional twelve-month periods. Place of Performance The contract will be performed at Fort Hood, TX.
