Tourist-Oriented Directional Sign Program

Background

The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) is seeking a qualified entity to operate the Information Logo Sign and Tourist-Oriented Directional Sign Program. This program aims to enhance tourism by providing clear directional signage and information logos that guide visitors to various attractions and services. The contract will involve marketing, manufacturing, installation, and maintenance of Specific Information Logo Signs (LOGO), Major Shopping Area Guide Signs (MSAGS), and Tourist-Oriented Directional Signs (TODS).

Work Details

The contractor will be responsible for the following services: 1. Marketing the Information Logo Sign Program and Tourist-Oriented Directional Sign Program. 2. Manufacturing Specific Information Logo Signs (LOGO), Major Shopping Area Guide Signs (MSAGS), and Tourist-Oriented Directional Signs (TODS). 3. Installing the signs at designated locations as per TxDOT specifications. 4. Maintaining the signs to ensure they remain in good condition and are visible to the public. 5. Providing a database to support a website detailing information about participants in the program.

Period of Performance

The contract is expected to commence on August 31, 2026, following the award date, with specific timelines for each phase of work outlined in the solicitation.

Place of Performance

Services will be performed at various locations across Texas as determined by TxDOT for sign installation and maintenance.

Bidder Requirements

Respondents must demonstrate financial stability by providing audited or un-audited financial statements for the past three years. They must also comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, including maintaining necessary licenses and certifications throughout the contract term. Additionally, subcontracting opportunities are probable in connection with this solicitation.
