The Nashville District Contracting Division has a requirement that will require the Contractor to furnish all labor, equipment, fuel, transportation, tools, and supplies necessary to provide the specified milling and interpretive services at Mill Springs Mill, Lake Cumberland, KY for the duration of the contract period. Mill Springs Mill is located approximately 15 miles from Somerset and 5 miles from Monticello on Highway 1275 in Wayne County, Kentucky. No formal site visit is scheduled for this solicitation. Offerors are urged and expected to inspect the site where services are to be performed and to satisfy themselves regarding all general and local conditions that may affect the cost of the contract performance. SYSTEM FOR AWARD MANAGEMENT (SAM): Offerors must be successfully registered (and active) in SAM, www.sam.gov, in order to receive a Government contract award. Offerors must have their representations and certifications available on-line in SAM or provide them with their proposal in order to receive a Government contract award. Offerors should also have the EFT information updated on their SAM account - all financial information is ONLY shared with financial systems and cannot be accessed by any other entity.
Effective March 22, 2018, new entities that are registering in SAM must submit an original, signed notarized letter identifying the authorized entity's Administrator that is authorized to register the entity in the SAM database, or to make changes to its registration. Background The Nashville District Contracting Division is seeking a contractor to provide milling and interpretive services at Mill Springs Mill, located in Lake Cumberland, KY. The goal of this contract is to ensure the operation of the mill and to educate visitors about its historical significance, particularly its role in Civil War history. The mill is situated approximately 15 miles from Somerset and 5 miles from Monticello on Highway 1275 in Wayne County, Kentucky. Work Details The contractor will be responsible for furnishing all labor, equipment, fuel, transportation, tools, and supplies necessary for the operation of Mill Springs Mill.
