Background

The Mount Pleasant Correctional Facility is seeking bids for the procurement of a bakery sheeter to enhance its kitchen operations. The goal of this Request for Bids (RFB) is to solicit competitive bids from qualified providers for the specified equipment, which will be utilized by the Lead Agency and any Participating Agencies. The contract may be extended at the discretion of the Lead Agency.

Work Details

The contract requires the provision of an ACME (or equivalent) RS88 Rol-Sheeter with a 3-foot table. The sheeter must have a roller width of 24 inches and include a 3-foot long and 24-inch wide conveyor table. Additional specifications include: - Automatic shut-off across rollers - Rear safety switch - Saddle/molding attachment - Two curling chains - Variable speed control Bidders must also include shipping costs to the facility located at 1200 E Washington Street, Mount Pleasant, IA 52641.

Period of Performance

The contract performance period begins upon award and extends until May 27, 2026, with potential extensions as identified in the solicitation.

The products will be delivered to Mount Pleasant Correctional Facility, located at 1200 E Washington Street, Mount Pleasant, IA 52641.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must comply with all specifications outlined in the RFB to be considered responsible. Shipping must be FOB Destination, Freight Prepaid. Bidders are required to submit their contact information and confirm their agreement with payment terms as per Iowa Code § 8A.514.
