Background

Hernando County, Florida, is seeking to refresh its pre-qualification pool for contractors to provide construction services for projects valued at $500,000 or less. This initiative aims to ensure a diverse pool of qualified vendors who can respond to requests for quotes on an as-needed basis. The original solicitation was released in May 2023, allowing for the addition of contractors every six months. Previously pre-qualified contractors will remain in the pool and do not need to reapply.

Work Details

Contractors will provide construction services as either General Contractors or Specialty Licensed Contractors. The County will approve qualified vendors through a selection committee, which will form a basis for requesting quotes on various projects. The scope includes but is not limited to: - Furnishing all labor, equipment, and materials necessary for construction projects. - Adhering strictly to the General Conditions, Special Conditions, Supplementary Conditions, and other contract documents. - Responding to Requests for Quotes issued by the County based on project specifications. - Potentially being awarded multiple categories of work based on qualifications submitted.

Period of Performance

The contract period extends for three years from September 26, 2023, with options for two additional one-year renewals at the County's discretion.

Place of Performance

All work will be performed within Hernando County, Florida.

Bidder Requirements

Contractors must possess all necessary licenses and permits required by local and state authorities. They are also required to submit at least three references from similar projects completed within the last three years. Additionally, vendors must comply with all applicable laws and regulations regarding public entity crimes.
