Enclosed Metal Carport - Furnish and Install.

Background

The City of Tampa is seeking quotes for the furnishing and installation of an enclosed metal carport as part of its Mobility initiative. This project aims to provide a storage building for materials and equipment displaced from an existing building that is being demolished.

Work Details

The contractor will be responsible for the complete supply and installation of a fully enclosed metal carport with the following specifications: - Dimensions: 22 ft wide, 26 ft long, and 10 ft high with a peak height of approximately 12-13 ft.

Roof Style

Vertical roof design with panels running from ridge to eave, including ridge cap and hat-channel/purlin supports.

Structure Type

Fully enclosed steel building made from galvanized steel tubing (14-gauge standard, optional 12-gauge upgrade).

Wall Panels

Fully enclosed with 29-gauge painted steel panels.

Roll-Up Doors

Two front roll-up doors measuring 10 ft wide by 8 ft high.

Entry Door

One walk-in door measuring 36 in x 80 in with a deadbolt-ready frame.

Anchoring System

Installation will depend on the surface type (concrete slab, asphalt, or ground/gravel) with appropriate anchoring methods specified.

Period of Performance

The contract period will be defined upon award but is expected to commence immediately after the issuance of the purchase order.

Place of Performance

The work will be performed at the designated location specified by the City of Tampa for the installation of the carport.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must be licensed to operate in Florida and provide proof of insurance prior to award. The awarded contractor must perform at least 51% of the work with their own forces unless otherwise approved by the City. Bidders are also required to comply with all applicable federal and state laws, as well as local ordinances.
