The City of Garland, Texas is soliciting proposals for the procurement of Transmission Material for the Naaman to Newman project. Work Details

The Vendor shall furnish and deliver all Transmission Hardware materials as specified in the bid documents, including but not limited to: turnbuckles, polymer insulators, socket Y-clevises, post insulators, Y-clevis clevises, deadend tees, full thread rods, locknuts, washers, suspension clamps, and grounding shunts. All materials must be new and from specified manufacturers with no substitutions allowed unless prior written approval is obtained. The Vendor is responsible for packaging and shipment coordination with the Owner's Material Coordinator. Additionally, it is essential that all materials are delivered free from damage or defects. Documentation required includes packing slips with PO# and descriptions, material certifications, warranty documentation, and manufacturer documentation.

Period of Performance

The contract period will commence upon award and continue until all materials have been delivered and accepted by the City of Garland. The response deadline for bids is set for June 2, 2026.

Place of Performance

The delivery location for the materials will be designated by the City of Garland's Material Coordinator at GP&L Charles E. Duckworth Building, 217 N. Fifth Street, Garland, TX 75040.

Bidder Requirements

Vendors must submit a complete bid on all items listed; partial bids will be deemed non-responsive. Valid Certificates of Insurance may be required. Vendors must comply with City of Garland's Terms and Conditions and complete all related forms electronically via Ion Wave. Additionally, vendors are required to disclose any conflicts of interest as per Chapter 176 of the Texas Local Government Code.
