Summary

The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision and all other items or services necessary to perform the requirements as described in this Statement of Work (SOW) at JBSA Lackland, Kelly Airfield, TX. Replace the raised lights/signs after the B-52 taxis or is towed to the runway as defined in this SOW. Contractor shall be responsible for ensuring the B-52 has access to Boeing from the runway and ensure the lights/signs are restored back to original condition. The runway and taxiway lights and signs, as described in this SOW, are included in this contract. Background The contract is issued by the 502d Contracting Squadron at Joint Base San Antonio (JBSA) Lackland, Texas. The mission of this agency is to facilitate safe aircraft operations at Kelly Airfield. The goal of the contract is to ensure the removal and replacement of runway and taxiway lights and signs to maintain operational safety for B-52 aircraft during taxiing and takeoff. Work Details The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and other necessary items or services to perform the following tasks: - Uninstall and remove sixty (60) raised lights along Runway 16/34 between Taxiway C and Taxiway E; - Uninstall thirty-eight (38) raised lights between Runway 16/34 and the Boeing ramp within 110 feet from the runway/taxiway centerline; - Uninstall one (1) runway exit sign at the NE corner of Runways 16/34 and Taxiway E; - Uninstall one (1) runway exit sign at the intersection of Taxiway B and the departure end of Runway 34; - Uninstall six (6) signs on Taxiway E; - Replace all removed lights/signs after B-52 operations as defined in this SOW. The contractor must ensure that the B-52 has access to Boeing from the runway and restore all lights/signs to their original condition. All work must comply with federal, state, local environmental laws, and current FAA regulations. Place of Performance The construction projects will be performed at Joint Base San Antonio Lackland, specifically at Kelly Airfield, Texas.
