Background The University of California, on behalf of the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL), is issuing Request for Proposal (RFP) No. MG-05132026 for the manufacturing of mechanical sub-assemblies and components for the 'Hard Bend' (HBEND) permanent magnet dipole bending magnets as part of the Advanced Light Source Upgrade (ALS-U) storage ring. This contract is governed by procurement policies established under the University’s Prime Contract with the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE). Work Details The contract involves the manufacturing of mechanical sub-assemblies and components for a total of 8 HBEND units, including but not limited to: - Yokes - Support base - Drive system actuators. Period of Performance The Subcontract is expected to be performed over a period of 6 months after receipt of order (ARO).
