Background The National Park Service (NPS) is issuing this solicitation for the replacement of a wastewater tank at Padre Island National Seashore. Work Details The primary work includes the removal of the existing 1,000-gallon jointed concrete wastewater tank at the Fee Collection building and the installation of a new 1,000-gallon capacity sealed polyethylene (poly) wastewater tank with supporting apparatus or approved equivalent. Specific tasks include: - Site preparation - Excavation - Tank removal and disposal - New tank installation with ballast anchoring and corrosion-resistant straps - Plumbing connections - Backfilling - Site restoration - System testing All materials must be new, free from defects, and certified for wastewater use. The contractor must comply with local, state, and federal laws including OSHA regulations and ensure that all work adheres to industry standards.
