Waste Disposal - LDH - ELMHS

Background

The Louisiana Department of Health (LDH) is seeking to establish a contract for Waste Disposal Services for the Eastern Louisiana Mental Health System (ELMHS). The goal of this contract is to ensure proper waste management at the facility located at 4502 Highway 951, Jackson, LA 70748. The contract aims to provide reliable and efficient waste disposal services that comply with all applicable regulations.

Work Details

The contractor will provide Waste Disposal Services including monthly service fees for all containers as specified in Attachment C - Container Location List. Containers are to be serviced on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays between the hours of 7:00 AM and 3:30 PM. The contract includes servicing one 2 cubic yard container and one 8 cubic yard container, with additional pickups available upon request. The service must adhere to the waste specifications outlined in Attachment B.

Period of Performance

The contract will be effective for a period of 12 months beginning July 1, 2026, and ending June 30, 2027. There is an option for the State of Louisiana to extend the contract for two additional twelve-month periods at the same prices, not exceeding a total of 36 months.

Place of Performance

The services will be performed at the Eastern Louisiana Mental Health System located at 4502 Highway 951, Jackson, LA 70748.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must be registered in the LaGov system to submit an online bid and must include a W-9 form if newly registered. They should comply with all applicable federal and state laws regarding civil rights and accessibility standards. Additionally, bidders must certify that they are not suspended or debarred by the General Services Administration (GSA) and must adhere to provisions regarding E-Verify compliance.
