Background The Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest, part of the USDA Forest Service, is seeking a contractor to provide lawn and landscape maintenance services for the Rhinelander Supervisor Office. The goal of this contract is to ensure the upkeep of the grounds in accordance with industry standards and applicable laws, enhancing the aesthetic and functional quality of the property. Work Details The contractor shall provide all necessary personnel, equipment, materials, tools, supervision, and transportation to maintain lawn and landscaped areas. Services include: - Lawn Care: Apply grass seed, fertilizer, or other materials as needed to create and maintain a lush green lawn with no bare spots and minimal weeds. Grass must be maintained at a length between 2.5” and 3.5”. - Hardscape Care: Ensure all hardscapes are free of grass clippings and debris; weeds must be removed from walkways, patio areas, and HVAC areas within one week. - Debris Removal: Dispose of excessive grass clippings or lawn debris off-site after services are completed. Woody debris 3/8” or larger must be picked up weekly and disposed of off-site. - All chemicals used must be approved by the Contracting Officer Representative (COR) prior to application, with safety data sheets provided for all products. Period of Performance Services will be performed from June through September annually for a total duration not exceeding five years and six months.
