Scope of Work Requested

The Mesquite Independent School District (MISD) Food & Nutrition Services Department is seeking bids for the complete turnkey demolition and installation of a Cooler/Freezer Combo unit at Cannaday Elementary School. The selected vendor will be responsible for: - Purchasing a new Cooler/Freezer Combo unit - Demolishing and removing the existing unit - Installing the new Cooler/Freezer Combo unit

Background

This project is part of MISD's ongoing efforts to upgrade and maintain food service equipment at district campuses. The Cooler/Freezer Combo replacement at Cannaday Elementary School is necessary to ensure continued safe and efficient food storage.

Contract Requirements

Vendors must: - Attend a strongly encouraged site visit to verify project scope and existing conditions - Arrive no later than 1:00 PM for check-in at Cannaday Elementary School (2701 Chisolm Trail, Mesquite, TX 75150) - Present a valid government-issued ID for campus access - Check in at the front office upon arrival - Be escorted by MISD staff to the kitchen areas at both Cannaday and Smith Elementary Schools Attendance at the site visit is highly recommended to ensure accurate and complete bid submissions. Failure to attend does not relieve vendors of the responsibility to fully understand project requirements.

Instructions on Submission

The site visit is scheduled for Thursday, May 28, 2026. Arrival is required by 1:00 PM for check-in, with the visit beginning at 2:00 PM. After the Cannaday Elementary School walkthrough, attendees will proceed to Smith Elementary School (2300 Mesquite Valley Rd, Mesquite, TX 75149) for additional site review.
