Background

The State of Alaska's Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF), specifically the Division of Statewide Aviation (SWA), is issuing this Request for Proposals (RFP) to establish a contract for rural airport inspection services. The goal is to ensure compliance with federal standards and enhance the safety and operational efficiency of rural airports in Alaska.

Work Details

The contractor will provide rural airport inspection services, which include: 1. Conducting 5010-1 inspections, data entry, inspection reports, and sketches. 2. Taking photographs and GPS locations of airport features. 3. Performing Terminal Instrument Procedures (TERPS) approach surface survey and characterization. The estimated quantity for inspections is 122 each for the first two years and 123 each for the third year, with a maximum cost not exceeding $1,550 per inspection for Tasks 1 & 2.

Period of Performance

The contract will be performed over a period of three years, with inspections scheduled annually.

Place of Performance

The services will be performed at various rural airports across the state of Alaska.
