Montgomery Co. 2026 Road Construction and Paving

Background

The Montgomery County Board of Commissioners is issuing a solicitation for the 2026 LMIG Street Improvements project. The goal of this contract is to enhance local road infrastructure through various construction activities, ensuring improved safety and accessibility for the community.

Work Details

The work under this contract includes: - Construction of approximately 2,500 tons of 19 mm Superpave patching at a rate of 330 square yards (SY). - Spot leveling with approximately 1,584 tons of 9.5 mm Superpave. - Application of +/- 14.48 linear meters (LM) of 5-inch white and yellow striping. - All appurtenances necessary for a complete job.

Period of Performance

All work on the project must be completed within 180 consecutive calendar days from the date of notice to proceed.

Place of Performance

The contract will be performed in Montgomery County, Georgia.

Bidder Requirements

Bids must be sealed and submitted to the Montgomery County Board of Commissioners prior to the specified deadline. Each bid must be accompanied by a Bidder's Bond, payable to Montgomery County for 10 percent of the bid amount. This bond will be forfeited as liquidated damages if the bidder fails to enter into a written contract and provide the required Payment Bond, Performance Bond, and Insurance Certificates.
