Background

The City of Kingsland is seeking quotes for the Downtown Kingsland Storefront Window Painting project. This initiative aims to enhance the visual appeal of downtown businesses during three seasonal events: Camden County High School Homecoming, Christmas, and Mardi Gras. It aligns with the city's mission to promote local businesses and community engagement.

Work Details

The contractor will provide all necessary materials, labor, and equipment for painting designated storefront windows in downtown Kingsland. The scope of work includes: - Setting up, painting, and removing all artwork by specified deadlines. - Artwork must reflect the themes of the events (Homecoming, Christmas, Mardi Gras), be family-friendly, and complement downtown decor. - The contractor is responsible for cleanup and ensuring no damage occurs to glass or property. - The painting will only be applied to first-level windows; second-story windows are not eligible. - Cost proposals will be based on a per-window basis categorized as small, medium, or large. - Appendix A provides location details and samples of business windows.

Period of Performance

The contract will cover three distinct painting schedules: 1. Homecoming Painting: Start Date - September 1, 2026; Completion - September 7, 2026; Paint Removal - October 21-24, 2026. 2. Holiday Painting: Start Date - November 23, 2026; Completion - November 29, 2026; Paint Removal - January 4-6, 2027. 3. Mardi Gras Painting: Start Date - January 11, 2027; Completion - January 17, 2027; Paint Removal - February 11-14, 2027.

Place of Performance

The work will be performed on U.S. Highway 17 (Lee Street) between the intersection of Highway 40/U.S. 17 and West William Avenue/U.S. 17 in downtown Kingsland.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must submit a cost proposal along with details about materials to be used and examples of previous work if available. Additionally, a copy of the current business license is required.
