Background The Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Port Hueneme Division is seeking to conduct repairs and service modifications on the Warren Knight Leveling System, which includes ruggedized inclination sensors and cable reels for data and power transmission. The cable reels are classified as Government Furnished Property (GFP). This contract aims to ensure that the original manufacturer performs necessary modifications on six 30m reels owned by NSWC PHD. Work Details The contractor will fulfill a change order on six (6) 30m reels (WK-34-7243RL). The scope of work includes: - Providing all labor, materials, equipment, and services necessary for modification; - Stamping each reel with a unique serial number; - Lengthening the pigtail cable by an additional 15m for each reel, resulting in a total length of 45m; - Ensuring functionality with sensors in nine different connection configurations as defined by lab testing at NSWC PHD. The contractor must verify functionality through quality assurance testing and provide a report of this testing. If the change order does not meet specifications, the reels will be returned to the contractor for re-modification at their expense. Acceptance testing will be performed by NSWC PHD upon receipt to ensure compliance with all requirements.
