Background

The United Independent School District (UISD) is seeking to establish a contract for the purchase of fine arts sheet music, method books, and related educational resources. This initiative aims to support the district's educational programs by providing necessary materials for music education. The contract will be for an initial term of 12 months with two optional annual renewals, potentially extending the total duration to 36 months.

Work Details

The awarded vendor(s) must provide a comprehensive catalog (physical or online) that includes: 1. Sheet Music: Choral, band, orchestra, and solo repertoire across various publishers and difficulty levels. 2. Instructional Materials: Method books, theory workbooks, and sight-reading materials. 3. Digital Media: Digital sheet music downloads and instructional software/CDs/DVDs. 4. Music Accessories: Small items such as reeds, strings, valve oil, rosin, sticks/mallets, music stands, and metronomes/tuners. Exclusions include large instruments and audio/visual electronics unless specified by the District at the time of quoting. Vendors must provide a single percentage discount on their current retail price or published catalog price that remains firm throughout the contract duration.

The contract will initially be for a term of 12 months with options to renew for two additional one-year periods, totaling a maximum possible duration of 36 months.

The performance will primarily occur within the United Independent School District located in Laredo, Texas.

Bidder Requirements

Vendors must comply with various requirements including submitting a Certificate of Interest Parties (Form 1295), completing a Conflict of Interest Questionnaire (CIQ), providing proof of criminal history background checks for employees who will have direct contact with students, and maintaining insurance as specified in the solicitation documents.
