Background

The Decatur County Public Works Department is seeking bids for the procurement of a new motor grader. The purpose of this contract is to acquire a machine that meets specific operational requirements to support the county's public works activities.

Work Details

The contract involves the provision of one new motor grader that meets the following minimum specifications: - 175 net horsepower (minimum in 1st gear) - 150 amp alternator - Variable horsepower - Tinted windows - Outside emergency fuel kill switch - Outside mirrors - Gross vehicle weight of 38,000 pounds with scarifier - 1400 x R24 premium brand radial tires - Multi-piece rims - Air conditioning and cab heater - Factory-installed radio with Bluetooth - 100-gallon fuel capacity - Complete front laminated glass - Dual joystick steering with integrated implement controls - Secondary steering - Battery disconnect switch - CB radio ready with converter - Complete windshield wipers - 14’ moldboard length - 8” cutting edge with end bits - Circle drive slip clutch. Additional features include: - A mid-mount scarifier with 11 shanks - Oil sample kits for 7,500 hours - Front and rear roof-mounted lights - Front headlights and turn signals - Rear tail lights with turn signals - Air ride heated seat - Backup alarm and camera - Rear tow hitch with pin - Roof-mounted strobe light - GPS data and location system (including a 5-year subscription) - A 5-year / 7,500 premier warranty (with a list of covered components required) - A 5-year no TT&M for warranty repairs clause, and lifetime cleaning of the DPF. The bid must also include details on make and model of the motor grader offered as well as pricing information including trade-in value for an existing machine (670GP) and guaranteed buyback options.

Place of Performance

The delivery location for the motor grader will be Decatur County in Bainbridge, Georgia.
