Decommission Lee Hall Reverse Osmosis Wells (Phase I)

Work Requested

The City of Newport News is seeking a qualified contractor to perform the decommissioning of six (6) Reverse Osmosis Wells located at the Lee Hall Water Treatment Plant (LHWTP). The contractor will be responsible for providing all necessary work and materials in accordance with the specifications and drawings outlined in this Invitation for Bids (IFB). Who is Requesting: This solicitation is issued by the City of Newport News (the City or Owner).

Background

This contract aims to establish a partnership with a qualified contractor for the decommissioning project at the Lee Hall Water Treatment Plant. The work must adhere to the standards and requirements specified in the IFB documents.

Contract Requirements

- Decommission six (6) Reverse Osmosis Wells at LHWTP. - All work and materials must comply with the specifications and drawings provided in the IFB. - The Hampton Roads Planning District Commission's Regional Construction Standards, Sixth Edition, June 2016, are incorporated by reference and are part of the bid documents, except as modified by the Owner or by specific instructions.

Instructions on Submission

Bids must be submitted via the City's e-Procurement Portal, OpenGov Procurement ( https://secure.procurenow.com/portal/nnva ). All bids must be received no later than Tuesday, June 2, 2026 at 2:30 pm (local prevailing time).
