Background

The State of Hawaii, through its Department of Transportation, Airports Division, is seeking proposals for the maintenance of the Video Monitoring and Access Control System (VMACS) at Lihue Airport. The goal of this contract is to ensure the proper functioning and reliability of the VMACS, which is critical for airport security and operations.

Work Details

The scope of work includes providing technical expertise, labor, materials, taxes, insurance, overhead, travel, and incidental costs necessary for servicing and maintaining all equipment associated with the VMACS. This encompasses subsystems, assemblies, subassemblies, communication networks, and related components. The contractor will also be responsible for responding to trouble calls related to these systems.

Period of Performance

The contract will commence upon award and is expected to continue until the completion of all required services as specified in the contract documents. The offer due date for proposals is May 28, 2026.

Place of Performance

The services will be performed at Lihue Airport located in Lihue, Kauai, Hawaii.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must possess a valid State of Hawaii Specialty Contractor’s 'C-13' or 'C-15' license at the time of bidding. Additionally, bidders are required to submit a tax clearance certificate from the State of Hawaii Department of Taxation and the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), a certificate of compliance with Hawaii Employment Security Law from the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations (DLIR), and a certificate of good standing from the Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs (DCCA).
