Background

The Governor Morehead School, part of the North Carolina Department of Administration, is seeking proposals to clean and sanitize its HVAC systems, PTAC units, and ductwork. This initiative aims to improve indoor air quality (IAQ) and address visible mold issues within the school facilities.

Work Details

The contractor will provide all labor, equipment, and materials necessary to clean and sanitize HVAC systems, PTAC units, and ductwork in the following buildings: Lineberry (1st and 2nd floors), Lineberry Auditorium, Cole Building, Fisher Building, Cooke Building, and Haywood Building. Specific tasks include: - Cleaning and sanitizing units in ceilings on the 2nd floor of Lineberry; - Cleaning ductwork for units on both floors; - Cleaning PTAC units on the 3rd floor; - Cleaning units in attics of Cooke and Cole Buildings; - Addressing mold concerns throughout all specified areas. Work in Lineberry Auditorium must be completed on weekends (Saturday or Sunday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM), while work in other buildings should occur during regular business hours (Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM). The scope may be adjusted based on unforeseen conditions related to mold.

Period of Performance

All work under this contract must be completed within ninety (90) days after receipt of the purchase order.

Bidder Requirements

Vendors must be registered with the North Carolina Secretary of State. They are required to submit a cover letter confirming their understanding of the IFB and complete various attachments including pricing forms and HUB supplemental information. Vendors must also provide at least three references for similar services previously provided.
