Background

The N.C. Department of Natural and Cultural Resources, Division of Parks and Recreation is issuing this solicitation for the construction of wastewater improvements at Lake Norman State Park. Work Details

The contract includes selective tree removal, replacement of piping and spray heads within the existing spray field, replacement of pumps, aerators, power phase converters, dredging, and liner replacement within the wastewater lagoon. Bidder Requirements

Bidders must have a proper license as required under state laws governing their respective trades. General contractors must hold a license classification for Building Contractor – Unlimited or Public Utilities Contractor – Unlimited. Bidders are required to include a cash deposit or certified check equal to at least five percent (5%) of their proposal or a bid bond of five percent (5%) executed by a licensed surety company. A performance bond and payment bond will be required for one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. Additionally, bidders must submit forms identifying minority business participation.
