Special Education Comprehensive Audit

Background

The DeKalb County School District (DCSD) is a public school system located in the fourth largest county in Georgia, serving over 91,000 students across more than 138 schools. DCSD aims to provide every student with the best possible education and is seeking qualified vendors to conduct a comprehensive Special Education audit. This initiative is part of their mission to improve leadership, teaching, and student learning.

Work Details

The selected vendor will be responsible for conducting a comprehensive audit of the Special Education program within DCSD. This includes providing all necessary labor, materials, tools, specialized equipment, supplies, trained personnel, insurance, travel, per diem, administrative costs, overhead, and any other costs associated with delivering the required services. The vendor must ensure that there are no additional charges beyond what is specified in the proposal. The audit will assess compliance with federal and state regulations regarding special education services.

Period of Performance

The contract is expected to commence around September 2026 and will initially last for one year. There are options for up to four one-year extensions based on performance and funding availability.

Place of Performance

The services will be performed within the DeKalb County School District facilities located in Stone Mountain, Georgia.

Bidder Requirements

Vendors must register as a vendor on the DCSD website and submit proposals electronically. They must provide proof of insurance coverage as specified in the RFP and comply with all local, state, and federal laws. Additionally, vendors must complete various certifications related to immigration status and provide audited financial statements for the previous two years.
