Blanket Order for Hardwood and Pine Needle Mulch

Background

The North Carolina State University is seeking to establish a blanket order for hardwood and pine needle mulch to support its Facilities - Landscape Maintenance & Operations department. The goal of this contract is to secure firm pricing for these materials, which will be purchased as needed during the contract period. The contract will cover a one-year period with an option to renew for four additional one-year periods.

Work Details

The contractor will provide the following products: 1. Triple-shredded hardwood mulch in various quantities: - 20 cubic yards - 60 cubic yards - 100 cubic yards 2. Long leaf pine straw, bales, in the following quantities: - 1 each - 100 each - 1000 each All products must meet specific specifications including being well-composted, free of debris, and delivered in tractor trailer or dump truck loads as requested. Freight and all other charges must be included in the unit price.

Period of Performance

The contract will commence upon award and will last for one year, with options to renew for up to four additional years based on mutual agreement.

Place of Performance

Delivery will be made to various designated job sites at North Carolina State University, Raleigh, NC between the hours of 7:30 am and 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must have commercial insurance that meets university requirements and provide a current insurance certificate with their quotation. Additionally, bidders are required to submit samples of the products by the due date of May 21, 2026. The minimum order amount is $50 for any single order.
