Annual Contract For Fuel

Background

The Butts County Board of Commissioners is seeking competitive sealed bids from qualified vendors to supply fuel on a contracted basis for the period from August 1, 2026, to July 31, 2027. The contract may be renewed for up to two additional years. The goal is to ensure a reliable supply of fuel for county operations.

Work Details

The vendor will provide the following fuel products: 1. E-10 Gasoline 87 Octane Unleaded - Minimum octane rating of 87, must meet all applicable EPA specifications for the service area. 2. Diesel Fuel #2 Ultra Low Sulfur - For on-road use with a maximum sulfur content of 15 PPM and a maximum of 5% biodiesel. Deliveries are expected within 24 hours from the time an order is placed, with emergency deliveries required within 12 hours if notified promptly. The vendor must also provide specification sheets upon request and is responsible for any spills and cleanup costs associated with deliveries.

Period of Performance

The contract will be performed from August 1, 2026, to July 31, 2027, with the possibility of renewal for two additional years.

Place of Performance

Fuel will be delivered to Butts County Public Works Department located at 1036 Brownlee Road, Jackson, Georgia 30233.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must comply with the Georgia Security and Immigration Compliance Act and provide proof of insurance including General Liability Insurance ($1 million), Automobile Liability Insurance ($1 million), and Workers' Compensation & Employer's Liability Insurance ($1 million). Bidders are encouraged to be small businesses or certified Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE).
