Fire & Life Safety Cairns 1836 Helmets

Background

The County of York, Virginia, through its Central Purchasing office, is seeking bids for the purchase and delivery of Cairns 1836 Helmets and related accessories for its Fire and Life Safety agencies. The goal is to establish a one-year term contract to fulfill initial purchase requirements immediately following contract award and additional purchases on an as-needed basis during the contract term.

Work Details

The contract involves providing Cairns 1836 Helmets with specific quantities and configurations as follows: - 34 units of Cairns Red 1836 Helmets (NFPA, Scotchlite, Carved Leather Bourkes, Red/Orange Eagle) - 15 units of Cairns White 1836 Helmets (NFPA, Scotchlite, Carved Leather Bourkes, Red/Orange Eagle) - 131 units of Cairns Black 1836 Helmets (NFPA, Scotchlite, Carved Leather Bourkes, Red/Orange Eagle) These quantities are estimates for initial purchase and may be adjusted prior to issuance of purchase order. The County reserves the right to purchase additional quantities or similar configurations during the contract term. All helmets must be 'No Substitute'.

Period of Performance

The initial contract period will be for one year from the date of award with options to renew for four additional one-year periods.

Place of Performance

Delivery will be made to locations within the County of York, Virginia as designated on the purchase order.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must be authorized dealers or distributors of Cairns helmets and accessories. They must comply with all local business license requirements in York County and provide documentation upon request. Bidders are also required to certify that they do not employ unauthorized aliens as defined by federal law.
