Equipment Replacement Services for Sludge Belt Conveyors #1-3

Background

The County of Henrico, Virginia, through its Department of Public Utilities, is seeking to establish an annual contract for equipment replacement services for sludge belt conveyors #1-3 at the Water Reclamation Facility (WRF). The purpose of this Invitation for Bid (IFB) is to ensure that all labor, supervision, materials, supplies, and equipment necessary for these services are provided by a qualified supplier. The existing conveyors were installed in 2002 and 2008 and require significant maintenance and rebuilding due to their current condition.

Work Details

The Successful Bidder shall provide all labor, supervision, materials, equipment, etc., required to successfully perform equipment replacement services for sludge belt conveyors #1-3. Specific requirements include: 1. Adherence to the project requirements and specifications detailed in Attachments I – Q of the solicitation. 2. Possession and maintenance of a Class A Contractor’s License through the Department of Professional and Occupational Regulations (DPOR). 3. Engagement of Schwing Bioset as a subcontractor for inspection of new parts installed and commissioning of rebuilt conveyors. The Successful Bidder will be responsible for all costs associated with this subcontractor's work including travel and lodging expenses.

Period of Performance

The contract will be performed annually with specific timelines outlined in the bid submission process. Bids must be submitted by May 27 at 10:00 AM local time.

Place of Performance

The work will be conducted at the Water Reclamation Facility located at 9101 WRVA Road, Henrico, Virginia 23231.

Virginia State Corporation Commission Registration Information (Attachment D) 5. Current Henrico County Business License 6. Bidder’s Reference Sheet (Attachment E) 7. Responsible Bidder Certification (Attachment F) 8. Bid Pricing Sheet. Additionally, bidders must certify they have not defaulted on any government contracts in the last five years and that they are not currently barred from participating in procurements by any government body.
