The Iowa Department of Natural Resources is issuing a contract for improvements to the boat ramp and ADA accessibility at Lacey-Keosauqua State Park, located in Van Buren County, Iowa. Work Details

The project includes the following tasks: HMA saw cut (300 LF), gravel and dirt excavations (79 CY for gravel removal and 91 CY for waste), granular subbase placement, rock placement, approximately 508 SY of 6-inch PCC paving using Class C mix, and installation of ADA signage. Specific items include: 1. Special Backfill - 67 TON 2. Excavation, Class 10 - Gravel Removal - 79 CY 3. Excavation, Class 10 - Waste - 91 CY 4. Standard/Specialized PCC Paving, Class C (6-inch) - 508 SY 5. Class B Crushed Stone (2-inch) - 5 TON 6. Revetment, Class E - 18 TON 7. Erosion Stone - 18 TON 8. Mobilization - 1 LS 9. HMA Saw Cut - 300 LF 10. ADA Signage - 1 LS.

Period of Performance

The work is scheduled to commence after the preconstruction conference and must be completed by August 15th, 2026.

Place of Performance

The contract will be performed at Lacey-Keosauqua State Park in Van Buren County, Iowa.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must comply with all applicable laws and regulations including obtaining necessary permits such as the NPDES Stormwater Discharge Permit for any land-disturbing activities that disturb an area of one or more acres. A performance bond is required if the contract price exceeds $25,000.
