HHS WRC Campus Utility Decentralization Phase 4/Fire Alarm Phase 3/Linden Fire Suppression

Background

The Iowa Department of Administrative Services is issuing this solicitation for the HHS WRC Campus Utility Decentralization Phase 4, Fire Alarm Phase 3, and Linden Fire Suppression project. The goal is to replace the steam and chilled water systems with new air handler units, upgrade the current fire alarm systems, perform elevator repairs, and install a new fire suppression system in Linden Court buildings A & B and C & D at the Woodward Resource Center located at 1251 334th Street, Woodward, Iowa 50276.

Work Details

The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks: - Replacing existing steam and chilled water systems with new air handler units. - Replacing current fire alarm systems. - Conducting elevator repairs. - Installing a new fire suppression system across multiple buildings (A & B and C & D) at the Woodward Resource Center. The project includes construction services related to building construction, fire alarm systems, general construction services, heavy construction services, and trades related to new construction.

Period of Performance

Construction is anticipated to begin on July 6, 2026, and end on February 25, 2028.

Place of Performance

The work will be performed at the Woodward Resource Center located at 1251 334th Street, Woodward, Iowa 50276.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must provide a Bid Security in the amount of 5% of the total bid amount. Each bid must include a bid bond or certified check drawn upon a solvent bank. Bidders are required to comply with affirmative action/equal employment opportunity provisions of the State of Iowa and Federal Government. This project is exempt from Iowa Sales Tax. Davis Bacon Wages will not apply.
