This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial products or commercial services prepared in accordance with part 12. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Offers are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number 15BCMS26R00000013 is issued as a Request for proposal (RFP), for Comprehensive Medical Services. This acquisition is not set-aside for small business concerns. This solicitation incorporates provisions and clauses by reference. The full text of provisions and clauses may be accessed electronically at www.acquisition.gov. (ii) Please see Section B in the attached solicitation for details regarding Line-Items. (iii) No brand name requirement for the items that are to be acquired. (iv) Services rendered will be provided at FCC Butner, located in Butner, North Carolina. Background The Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) was established in 1930 to provide progressive and humane care for Federal inmates, ensuring consistent and centralized administration. The BOP is responsible for the custody and care of approximately 152,993 Federal inmates across a nationwide system of prisons and detention facilities. The mission of the BOP is to protect society by confining inmates in controlled environments that are safe, humane, cost-efficient, and secure, while providing opportunities for self-improvement. This solicitation seeks to establish a contractual agreement for Comprehensive Medical Services at the Federal Correctional Complex (FCC) Butner in North Carolina. Work Details The contractor will provide Comprehensive Medical Services including: 1. Inpatient and outpatient facility services conforming to community standards and applicable laws. 2. Professional medical services including specialty care within community settings. 3. Transplant services including evaluations, pre-transplant, transplant, and follow-up care. 4. Outpatient institution-based professional services including invasive procedures. 5. Medical staffing services (non-physician). 6. Neuro-diagnostic services. 7. Management of medical records to promote continuity of care while observing confidentiality restrictions. 8. Submission of properly-priced invoices for services rendered. 9. Maintain open communication between contract providers and the institution regarding contract services. Period of Performance The contract will be performed over a base period of 12 months from the effective date of award, with options for additional 12-month periods. Place of Performance The services will be performed at FCC Butner located in Butner, North Carolina.
