Background The contract is issued for the repair and maintenance of buildings RR139, RR140, and RR141 located at Stone Bay MCB Camp Lejeune. The goal of the contract is to provide comprehensive painting and flooring repairs in these buildings, ensuring they meet safety and aesthetic standards. Work Details The contractor shall provide all material, labor, equipment, and supervision required to accomplish the following tasks: 1. **Preparation and Painting:** - Paint all previously painted surfaces throughout the interior and exterior of the buildings including walls, doors, door frames, and window frames. - Repair cracks, holes, and damaged surfaces to ensure a solid foundation for painting. Significant repairs (greater than 50 S.F.) must be noted in project descriptions. - Clean and treat mold and mildew areas before applying finish coatings. - Apply appropriate surfacing compounds to match surrounding finishes on any damaged surfaces. - Replace any damaged or rotten trim boards, siding, or moldings as specified in work area descriptions. - Secure loose trim boards or moldings that are not damaged or rotten. - Prime all repaired surfaces with latex KILZ 2 or equivalent unless otherwise specified. - Apply two coats of latex direct-to-metal semi-gloss finish paint on metal surfaces unless otherwise specified. - Apply two coats of eggshell/satin finish latex paint on interior wall surfaces unless otherwise specified. - Apply two coats of semi-gloss latex finish paint on wood trim and doors unless otherwise specified. - Sand wood trim with natural finishes for appearance and apply two coats of polyurethane finish coat unless otherwise specified. - Apply two coats of Loxon masonry coating or equivalent on exterior masonry surfaces unless otherwise specified. - Apply two coats of semi-gloss latex finish paint on EFIS finishes unless otherwise specified. - Apply two coats of high gloss coating in high bay areas for maximum illumination unless otherwise specified. 2. **Flooring Repairs:** The contractor is responsible for replacing flooring systems as per specifications provided in the attachments. Period of Performance The contract will be performed over a period starting from April 16, 2025, with specific timelines outlined in project schedules. Place of Performance The construction projects will be performed at Stone Bay MCB Camp Lejeune, specifically in buildings RR139, RR140, and RR141.
