Insulation Installation and Repair Services for District Facilities

Background

The Wake County Public School System (WCPSS) is the largest school district in North Carolina and the 15th largest in the United States, serving approximately 161,000 students across 203 schools. The district is seeking to secure a contract for insulation installation and repair services at various facilities owned or leased by WCPSS. This initiative aims to ensure that all facilities are adequately insulated to maintain energy efficiency and comfort.

Work Details

The contractor will provide insulation installation and repair services, which include but are not limited to: - Insulating refrigeration lines - Hot and chilled water lines - Various types of ductwork. The contractor must have appropriate licenses and/or certifications and sufficient qualified staff to meet WCPSS's service requests promptly. The scope of work also requires the ability to handle multiple service calls simultaneously.

Period of Performance

The contract will commence on July 1, 2026, and will continue through July 31, 2027. There is an option for WCPSS to extend the contract for an additional one-year period based on program continuation and availability of funds.

Place of Performance

Services will be performed at various WCPSS facilities located throughout Wake County, North Carolina.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must not be debarred from doing business with Wake County or the federal government. They are required to submit qualifications including years in business, office locations, and the number of full-time staff available for WCPSS services. Additionally, bidders must provide relevant experience details and a cost/price proposal. Compliance with E-Verify laws regarding employment eligibility is mandatory.
