Background The contract is issued by the United States Air Force, specifically for the Central Heat and Power Plant (CHPP) at Eielson Air Force Base (AFB). The mission of the agency is to ensure operational readiness and efficiency in energy production and management. The goal of this contract is to provide comprehensive industrial and general cleaning services to maintain a safe and clean working environment in the CHPP, which involves hazardous conditions due to the presence of combustible coal dust and other industrial contaminants. Work Details The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, and supplies necessary for industrial and general cleaning services at the CHPP. Specific tasks include: - Cleaning all vertical and horizontal surfaces within the plant, including walls, floors, stairwells, structural beams, piping, ducts, generators, equipment, and control panels. - Removing build-up of coal/ash dust particles, grease, oil, which exceeds normal dusting services. - Compliance with all applicable OSHA regulations (29 CFR 1910) regarding safety standards. - Use of specialized equipment such as ladders, lifts, scaffolding, mops, explosion-proof vacuums, respirators, and fall protection gear. - Certification must be provided and available for review on-site at all times. Period of Performance The contract will be performed over a period starting from July 1, 2026 to June 30, 2031 with options for additional years. Place of Performance The cleaning services will be performed at the Central Heat and Power Plant located at Eielson Air Force Base in Alaska.
