Summary

The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, facilities, transportation, and materials necessary to perform a complete flooring replacement in Building 11540, Room 5. The work includes the demolition and off-site disposal of existing glued-down broadloom carpet and rubber wall base, comprehensive concrete subfloor preparation, and the installation of new commercial-grade Luxury Vinyl Planking (LVP) and rubber transitions. Background The Department of the Air Force, specifically the 3rd Maintenance Squadron at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska, is seeking to replace the existing carpeting in the 3 MXS Conference Room (Building 11540, Room 5). The current carpet is deemed impractical due to high personnel traffic and adverse weather conditions. The goal of this contract is to remove the existing carpet and install more durable and easier-to-maintain Luxury Vinyl Planking (LVP). Work Details The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, facilities, transportation, and materials necessary to perform a complete flooring replacement. The work includes: - Demolition and off-site disposal of existing glued-down broadloom carpet. - Removal of existing 6" rubber wall base. - Comprehensive concrete subfloor preparation. - Installation of new commercial-grade Luxury Vinyl Planking (LVP). - Installation of black/brown rubber transitions at doorways. - Disposal of all demolition materials offsite. All work must be performed in strict accordance with the attached Performance Work Statement (PWS). Place of Performance The construction projects will be performed at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, specifically in Building 11540, Room 5.
