Background This requirement is for the complete turn-key installation of new electrical circuits and outlets at eight (8) Unaccompanied Military Housing (dormitory) buildings at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base (SJAFB), North Carolina. The service aims to provide dedicated, accessible power to the ground-floor stairwells (East and West ends) of each facility. The project is initiated due to a determination that additional electrical receptacles are necessary for safety and accessibility. Work Details The contractor will furnish all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to install sixteen (16) new 20-amp, 120-volt Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI) circuits. These circuits will power a total of sixty-four (64) new 15-amp duplex receptacles, with four receptacles per stairwell in each of the eight dormitory buildings: 3613, 3614, 3615, 3616, 3603, 3605, 3606, and 3607. Key materials include approximately 2,900 linear feet of 3/4" Schedule 40 PVC conduit, over 8,600 feet of #12 THWN-THHN copper wire, GFCI-compatible weatherproof 'in-use' covers, and 20-amp single-pole bolt-on GFCI circuit breakers compatible with existing Siemens electrical panels. All work must conform to the latest editions of the National Electrical Code (NEC), UFC 3-501-01, and UFC 3-520-01. The contractor is responsible for routing a new dedicated circuit from the electrical panel to each stairwell while ensuring all installations are cleanly executed and professionally labeled. Period of Performance The contract will be performed over a period of approximately 90 calendar days from the date of award. Place of Performance The construction projects will be performed at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base in North Carolina.
