Background The U.S. Air Force, specifically the 14th Weather Squadron, is seeking to secure parking spaces for its active-duty military and civil servant members. The goal of this contract is to provide safe and accessible parking in close proximity to the Veach-Baley Federal Complex located in downtown Asheville, NC. This requirement arises from concerns regarding unsafe parking locations that could impact the safety and mission focus of unit members. Work Details The contractor will be responsible for purchasing 60 parking passes for a designated parking area or garage. The following details outline the specific requirements: - The parking location must be within 1/8-mile line of sight/walking distance from the Veach-Baley Federal Complex. - Parking passes must be valid for use from 7 AM to 7 PM, seven days a week, throughout the year (365 days). - Each parking space should accommodate a medium-sized vehicle and can be either covered or uncovered. - The contractor must notify the Contracting Officer Representative (COR) or Project Management Officer (PMO) in writing if any of the 60 parking passes will not be available due to foreseen events (like construction or repairs), with at least five workdays' notice prior to nonavailability. - For unforeseen events (such as accidents or unexpected weather damage), notification must occur within one workday after the nonavailability, along with updates on when spaces become available again. Period of Performance The period of performance for this task order can extend up to 12 months, consisting of one base period of 12 months.
