Background The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), specifically the Office of Applied Science and Environmental Solutions (OASES), Applied Sciences and Environmental Methods Division (ASEMD), Multimedia Data Science and Technology Branch (MDSTB) located in Research Triangle Park, NC, has a requirement for a GC Orbitrap and GC-MS/MS Maintenance Agreement. The contract is intended to be awarded as a sole source fixed-priced Purchase Order to ThermoElectron North America LLC, the sole manufacturer of ThermoFisher Scientific Instruments. Work Details The contractor will provide maintenance services for GC Orbitrap and GC-MS/MS instruments, which includes access to proprietary designs, software, component parts, spare parts, technical support, software upgrades, and engineering support necessary to maintain the instruments at their originally operating specifications. Only certified and factory-trained field engineers from ThermoFisher are authorized to service these instruments. Place of Performance The maintenance services will be performed at locations as required by the EPA, primarily in Research Triangle Park, NC.
