BL055-26 Purchase of Public Safety Uniforms on an Annual Contract

Background

The Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners is soliciting competitive sealed bids from qualified suppliers for the Purchase of Public Safety Uniforms on an Annual Contract. This contract includes four (4) one-year options to renew and will serve various Gwinnett County departments including Correction, Fire and Emergency Services, Police Services, and the Sheriff’s Office. The goal is to provide high-quality uniforms that meet the specific needs of these departments.

Work Details

Suppliers are required to provide specified uniforms which include items such as jackets, shirts, trousers, and accessories with specific brand names and quantities outlined in the bid schedule. The contract includes: - Uniforms for Departments of Correction, Fire and Emergency Services, Police Services, and the Sheriff’s Office. - Orders will be placed on an 'as needed' basis with approximate annual quantities. - Unit prices must include attachment of patches, emblems, embroidery, silkscreening, hemming, and measuring as required. - Fittings for employees must be provided at specified locations during normal business hours at least twice a year. - Delivery terms specify that all items must be delivered inside to designated departments within Gwinnett County.

Period of Performance

The contract will commence upon award for a one-year period with four (4) additional one-year options to renew.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must meet specific insurance requirements; the insurance company should be authorized to do business in Georgia and have an A.M. Best rating of A-7 or higher. Successful suppliers will also need to comply with any stated set-aside certifications.
