Background The U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service (USFWS), a bureau of the U.S. Department of the Interior (DOI), requires continued weekly trash and recycling collection services at the John Heinz National Wildlife Refuge at Tinicum, located at 8601 Lindbergh Boulevard, Philadelphia, PA 19153. The goal of this contract is to ensure proper waste management and recycling practices within the Refuge facilities. Work Details The Contractor shall provide weekly trash and recycling removal services for Refuge facilities, including the collection, transportation, and proper disposal of solid waste and recyclable materials in compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. The Contractor is required to provide one (1) six (6) cubic yard dumpster for trash and one (1) four (4) cubic yard dumpster for recycling. All containers must be maintained in good working condition, structurally sound, leak-proof, and compliant with applicable safety and environmental standards. Services include: - Weekly removal of trash from the six-yard dumpster. - Weekly removal of recycling from the four-yard dumpster. - Collection shall occur on a mutually agreed upon weekday during normal business hours unless otherwise coordinated with the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR). The Contractor must also provide all personnel, supervision, equipment, vehicles, fuel, tools, materials, and supplies necessary to perform these services. Period of Performance The period of performance for this contract is from October 1, 2026 to September 30, 2031. This includes a base year from October 1, 2026 to September 30, 2027 and options for additional years through September 30, 2031.
