Background The City of Cumming, Georgia is soliciting sealed proposals from qualified contractors for the design, engineering, fabrication, delivery, and erection of a pre-engineered metal building (PEMB). The goal of the contract is to provide a complete and functional structure for the Bethelview Road Advanced Water Reclamation facility, including all necessary materials and services. Work Details The contractor will be responsible for the following: - Design and engineering of a pre-engineered metal building (PEMB) with dimensions of 60 feet in width, 80 feet in length, and an eave height of 20 feet. A clear span is preferred with no interior columns unless approved. - Compliance with Georgia State Minimum Standard Building Code and all structural requirements including wind load and roof live load specifications. - Construction of a concrete slab foundation with specific grading requirements, a monolithic footer around the perimeter, and a thickness of 6 inches with 4000 psi concrete. - Installation of minimum 26-gauge metal roof panels with Galvalume or factory-painted finish, including ridge caps and sealants. - Installation of minimum 26-gauge metal wall panels with factory finish in a color selected by the City. - Provision of two insulated hollow metal man doors (3' x 7') and three roll-up doors (size to be proposed by contractor) with weather seals. - Application of 2-inch closed-cell spray foam insulation on interior surfaces to meet local energy code requirements. - Installation of a drainage system including continuous gutters along roof eaves and appropriately spaced downspouts to direct water away from the foundation. Place of Performance The contract will be performed at the City of Cumming's Bethelview Road Advanced Water Reclamation facility. Bidder Requirements Bidders must provide proof of insurance and contractor licensing in Georgia. Proposals must include qualifications and experience with similar municipal projects as well as a minimum of three references.
