Work Details Contractors will provide various recreational programs as outlined in their proposals. Responsibilities include teaching classes, ensuring participant safety, managing course evaluations, conducting background checks on employees, maintaining First Aid and CPR certifications, and adhering to City policies. Contractors must submit outlines of activities covered in their programs and manage registrations through CivicRec. They must also comply with marketing guidelines set by the City. The contractor will be paid 70% of the revenue generated from program participants who must register via CivicRec. Period of Performance The contract will be effective upon signing and will remain in effect until terminated or renewed. Programs are scheduled across three seasons each year: Winter/Spring, Summer, and Fall/Winter. Place of Performance Classes will be held at various locations throughout the City of Avondale, including parks, libraries, and community centers. Bidder Requirements Contractors must provide proof of insurance coverage including general liability with minimum limits of $1 million per occurrence; workers' compensation; and may require sexual abuse and molestation coverage. All instructors must undergo background checks and fingerprinting annually. Instructors must be at least 18 years old with relevant experience in teaching or conducting programs.
