Background The National Park Service (NPS) is issuing this solicitation for the Blue Ridge Parkway (BLRI) to provide cyclic inspection and cleaning of water reservoirs. The goal of this contract is to ensure the maintenance and safety of potable water storage facilities within the park, which are critical for both operational needs and public health. Work Details The contractor shall provide all required services, labor, tools, materials, equipment, and supervision necessary for the inspection and cleaning of underground, potable concrete water reservoirs located on the Highlands and Pisgah Districts of the Blue Ridge Parkway from the Cumberland Knob Area to the Crabtree Meadows Area. Specific tasks include: - Inspecting all identified water reservoirs and providing a detailed condition assessment along with a proposed mitigation plan for any deficiencies discovered. - Performing basic cleaning of the interior surfaces of each water reservoir. - Properly disposing of chlorinated water, sludge, debris, and other waste generated during the cleaning process. The contract includes base work for six ground water storage tank cleanings and inspections, with bid additives for additional tanks as follows: a. Bid Additive 1 - Two ground water storage tank cleanings and inspections. b. Bid Additive 2 - Two above ground water storage tank cleanings and inspections. c. Bid Additive 3 - Three ground water storage tank cleanings and inspections. Period of Performance The period of performance for this contract is from June 15, 2026, to June 14, 2029. Place of Performance The work will be performed at various locations along the Blue Ridge Parkway in Asheville, NC.
