The Contractor shall provide Board Certified or Board Eligible Radiology Physician Services in accordance with the specifications contained herein to beneficiaries of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and the Asheville VAMC. The VA Radiology Services follow the standards & guidelines set forth by American College of Radiology (ACR) Practice Parameters and Technical Standards | American College of Radiology (acr.org). An existing National IT Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) must be in place and shall meet or exceed VA and the American College of Radiology Guidelines.
Background The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is seeking to procure off-site Tele-Radiology Services for beneficiaries of the Asheville VA Medical Center. The goal of this contract is to provide high-quality radiology services that adhere to the standards and guidelines set forth by the American College of Radiology (ACR). The services are intended to support the VA's mission of delivering exceptional healthcare to veterans. Work Details The Contractor shall provide Board Certified or Board Eligible Radiology Physician Services, which include: - Off-site Tele-Radiology Services as specified in the Performance Work Statement (PWS). - Compliance with ACR Practice Parameters and Technical Standards. - Provision of timely interpretations and reports, including critical results communicated within specified timeframes. - Credentialing and privileging of contract physicians in accordance with VHA directives. - Maintenance of communication links for tele-radiology services, including handling telecommunications failures. - Adherence to quality assurance measures, including patient satisfaction surveys and timely completion of medical records. - Management responsibilities including supervision of daily services provided by Contractor’s staff, ensuring staff qualifications, and reporting any incidents of fraud or abuse. Place of Performance The services will be performed off-site, primarily for beneficiaries at the Asheville VA Medical Center located in Asheville, North Carolina.
