Background Iowa State University of Science and Technology (ISU) is seeking quotes from qualified contractors for a two-year contract to supply carpet tile, vinyl plank, and roll vinyl for use in the university's residence halls. The goal of this contract is to ensure that ISU has access to quality flooring materials that meet their specifications and requirements. Work Details The contractor will provide the following products: 1) Carpet tile - Interface Mangrove, to be purchased by the carton; 2) Vinyl Plank - Tarkett Contour PCMK Artful Oak #4622 Countryside, 6" x 36", to be purchased by the carton; 3) Adhesive for vinyl plank installation; 4) Roll vinyl - Shaw Great Basin II 0874V, one (1) 12-foot wide roll. The contractor must maintain stock of two skids of LVT and one roll of vinyl at their location for same-day delivery or pickup by ISU. Orders will be placed as needed throughout the year, with no minimum purchase obligation on ISU's part. All invoices must reference the contract order number and include detailed shipment information. Period of Performance The contract will be effective from July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2028. Place of Performance Deliveries will be made to the Residence Warehouse located at 2219 State Avenue, Ames, IA. Bidder Requirements Contractors must comply with insurance requirements including Commercial General Liability ($2 million aggregate), Commercial Automobile Liability ($1 million), Workers' Compensation (statutory limits), and Excess/Umbrella Liability ($1 million). Contractors must also be licensed to do business in Iowa and have a minimum AM Best Rating of A-VII. Additionally, contractors are required to submit references and may not engage in discriminatory employment practices.
