Background The City of Albany is issuing this solicitation for the replacement of the HVAC system at the Robert Cross Event Center, located at 2660 Newcastle Lane, Albany, GA. The goal of this contract is to ensure a fully operational, safe, and efficient HVAC system that complies with all state codes and manufacturer specifications. Work Details The project consists of the removal and replacement of the existing HVAC carrier split system. The contractor will be responsible for: 1. Removal: Dispose and remove the existing HVAC split system and all work-related trash and debris in accordance with local environmental regulations. 2. New Units: Provide and install one (1) new Trane 25-ton split system, including start-up logs and operation manuals. 3. Installation & Mechanical Scope: Recover freon from the failed unit, remove old condenser and air handler, install new condenser on existing pad, install new air handler in mechanical room, make necessary piping and wiring connections, pull vacuum to 500 microns and test for leaks, connect existing duct to new air handler, seal and insulate, start up and charge system to factory specifications, verify proper operations in heat and cool modes. 4. Start-Up & Commissioning: Perform factory-authorized start-up including safety testing for maximum efficiency. Period of Performance All work shall be substantially complete within 180 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed. Place of Performance The work will be performed at the Robert Cross Event Center located at 2660 Newcastle Lane, Albany, GA. Bidder Requirements Bidders must provide a bid bond equal to at least 5% of the bid amount. A performance bond and labor/materials payment bond of 100% will be required from the awarded bidder. All contractors must maintain applicable insurance with limits specified in the solicitation documents. Contractors must also comply with Georgia's Security and Immigration Compliance Act by registering with E-Verify.
