Background This contract is issued by the United States Army Garrison (USAG) for the purpose of providing non-personal services related to comprehensive grounds and airfield maintenance. The mission of the USAG is to ensure the safe and continuous operation of mission-critical infrastructure, which includes maintaining airfields and training areas essential for troop readiness and safety. Work Details The contractor will be responsible for a variety of tasks including: - Recurring grass cutting, vegetation control, and groundskeeping services across approximately 3,207 acres. - Airfield Maintenance: Maintaining all designated airfield areas such as runways, taxiways, and infields to mitigate Bird/Wildlife Aircraft Strike Hazard (BASH) and ensure safe aviation operations. - Training Area & Range Maintenance: Maintaining specified training ranges, impact areas, and support facilities to ensure they are safe, accessible, and suitable for troop training and maneuvers. Key Performance Objectives include: - For Airfields: Maintain grass height between 6 and 12 inches to prevent wildlife nesting and foraging. - For Ranges & Training Areas: Maintain grass height not exceeding 6 inches to ensure clear lines of sight and reduce fire hazards. Period of Performance The contract has a base period from June 1, 2026, to May 31, 2027, with four additional option years extending through May 31, 2031. Place of Performance The services will be performed at Fort Bragg, Pope Army Airfield (AAF), Simmons Army Airfield (AAF), and Camp Mackall in North Carolina.
