Background The State of Hawaii, through its Department of Transportation, is issuing a solicitation for the maintenance of landscaped areas along Kuhio Highway, Kolo Road, Mailihuna Road, and Kalamania Road on the Island of Kauai. The goal of this contract is to ensure the upkeep and aesthetic quality of these public areas as part of the state's commitment to maintaining its transportation infrastructure. Work Details The scope of work includes furnishing all labor, materials, tools, and equipment necessary for the maintenance of landscaped areas on Kuhio Highway. This encompasses work at the Kolo Road and Kalamania Road roundabout as well as the Mailihuna Road roundabout within the highway right-of-way. Specific tasks include but are not limited to: regular mowing, trimming, pruning of trees and shrubs, removal of invasive plants, and ensuring irrigation systems are functional. Period of Performance The contract will commence upon award and is expected to continue through a specified period as outlined in the contract documents.
