Background The Alaska Army National Guard (AKARNG) is seeking a complete, turn-key postage metering and reporting system to enhance their mail processing capabilities. The goal of this contract is to provide a system that can weigh mail, print postage, and generate detailed reports to support the operational needs of the AKARNG. Work Details The contractor will be responsible for delivering a postage metering and reporting system that meets the following specifications: 1. Processing Speed: 130 Letters Per Minute 2. Scale Capacity: 70 lb. capacity 3. Functionality: Must weigh mail and print postage 4. Network Certification: Must possess a Certificate of Networthiness (CoN) for DoD networks. 5. Reporting Capabilities: - Web-accessible reporting is preferred - Redundant reporting capability is desired - Data Points must include weight (lbs/oz), cost per piece, total postage costs, and number of outgoing pieces. 6. Services and Support: - A non-complex process for downloading postage - In-person or online customer service and user training - Routine maintenance and repair services included - Replacement supplies must be provided - Discounted rates for Federal customers as applicable.
